Dear Stefan,
During this whole ordeal of going through our pieces of work and posting them up and talking about was different, because it was left all up to us and it much more enjoyable that way. I am not a fan of blogs and I was very skeptical about starting one, but when I heard it was mandatory I decided to go along with it and not fight it to make this whole blog thing tolerable. Through this assignment I grew to like the idea of sharing my photos to an audience that would appreciate the work that I produce. I did like that I was able to see my fellow classmates' work and some of their personal memories as well as reading their thoughts on topics that were on their minds. The whole blogging concept turned out to be less of a nuisance then I thought. It actually connected my peers and I, due to the simplicity of it. Yea, I slacked off when it came to keeping the blog updated, but blogging a photo is something new.It was nice to get feedback about my work as well as just an opinion about what I posted up. Blogging isn't hard, just when you first begin, it does take some time to make it a regular activity in your life. I believe it actually isn't that bad of a way to get your work out in public. Well, Stefan I do think this blogging "ordeal" was a success, if it was meant to assist us publicizing of work to a greater audience then our photo lecture class.

ReplyDeleteI am glad that the blog concept grew on you with time. I understand that it is not the most appealing thing to be on the computer all the time. But it does offer a new platform for your work and interchanging of ideas with your peers. That's probably the best aspect of it. But I too know that it is hard to make a daily affair. You slouched a lot at the end but you did have half of your posts last month too. So not so bad.
Just make sure to give your intelligent opinion about other's work you decide to post. That is much more fruitful.
